Real Betis winger Antony has had his red card officially rescinded, making him eligible for this Saturday’s La Liga clash against Real Madrid.
The Royal Spanish Football Federation’s Disciplinary Committee reviewed the controversial incident from Betis’s recent match against Getafe and ruled that Antony’s challenge did not warrant a sending-off.
Betis successfully appealed the decision, arguing that the contact was minimal and lacked malicious intent. The reversal means Antony will be available for selection at Estadio Benito Villamarín in what promises to be a high-stakes encounter against Los Blancos.
