Former Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, met with ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday.
Atiku led a delegation to meet with Obasanjo at his residence in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State. Accompanying him were former Governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke, and Senator Aminu Tambuwal, the former Governor of Sokoto State.
The purpose of the meeting was not disclosed at the time of reporting, but it coincides with efforts by opposition politicians to strategize and form an alliance against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2023 presidential election.
Recently, the former vice president also hosted former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, at his residence in Adamawa State.
