Controversial American rapper Kanye West has made a plea to President Donald Trump to pardon imprisoned music mogul Sean Combs, also known as Puff Daddy or Diddy.
Diddy is currently facing over 30 civil lawsuits for alleged sexual assault and misconduct, and is awaiting a federal criminal trial on sex trafficking and racketeering in a New York jail.
In a post on his social media page, Kanye West urged Trump to release the embattled hip-hop mogul from custody.
“@realDonaldTrump, please free my brother Puff,” he wrote .
Diddy was arrested by Homeland Security last September on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution. Despite pleading not guilty to all charges, his bail requests have been denied twice.
Recently, Diddy was hospitalized in Brooklyn for a knee injury and returned to his cell after receiving treatment. His trial is set to begin later this year.
