Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP, Kogi Central) has alleged that Senate President Godswill Akpabio sexually harassed her.
The lawmaker, who has been in the spotlight due to her ongoing dispute with Akpabio, claimed during an interview on ARISE TV on Friday.
Her recent clash with Akpabio began after discovering that her Senate seat had been changed without her consent, leading to a heated exchange.
As a result, she was referred to the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions for disciplinary review.
The committee, chaired by Senator Neda Imaseun (LP, Edo South), has been given two weeks to present its findings following a voice vote by lawmakers, who emphasized the importance of maintaining parliamentary decorum.
In addition to the Senate proceedings, Akpoti-Uduaghan has filed a N100.3 billion fundamental human rights lawsuit against Akpabio.
During her interview, she insisted she had evidence to support her claim and revealed that her husband was also a witness.
