Marcus Rashford completed a loan transfer from Manchester United to Aston Villa on Sunday.
The England international will be with Villa until the end of the season, with an option for the club to purchase him for £40million.
Before making the move to Villa Park, Rashford had interest from AC Milan, Napoli, Dortmund, and Barcelona.
In an Instagram post, the 27-year-old expressed that his decision to join Villa was an easy one, as he admired the team’s style of play this season under manager Unai Emery and their ambitions.
“I would like to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this loan deal happen,” Rashford said.
“I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me but Aston Villa was an easy decision – I really admire the way that Aston Villa have been playing this season, and the manager’s ambitions. I just want to play football and am excited to get started.
“I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season.”
Rashford will now hope to make his Aston Villa debut when they face Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup next weekend.
