Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has given reasons for his visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State on Monday.
Atiku arrived at the Olusegun Obasanjo presidential library in Abeokuta at 12:36 pm on Monday, accompanied by former governor of Cross River, Liyel Imoke, former Sokoto governor, Aminu Tambuwal, and Sokoto South senator, Abdul Ningi.
The closed-door meeting lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
When questioned about the details of the meeting, Atiku stated that it was simply a courtesy visit and declined to provide further information.
“It’s just a courtesy visit please, I am not going to talk about politics please,” he said.
He served as Vice-President to Obasanjo from 1999 to 2007.
Recently, the former Vice President also hosted former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi at his residence in Adamawa State.
