Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, had a confidential meeting with Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, on Thursday at the Ramat House in Bauchi.
The purpose of the meeting has not been disclosed, but it is believed to be related to the 2027 presidential election.
Following the meeting, both individuals are expected to address the media.
Peter Obi, who secured over six million votes in the 2023 presidential election, is reportedly considering running again in 2027.
Meanwhile, former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai has left the APC for the SDP and is in talks with Obi, despite their past political differences.
This speculation was fueled by El-Rufai’s son suggesting that Obi may join the SDP.
