During a recent interview with FOX News host Bret Baier, Tesla CEO Elon Musk disclosed that he has been receiving death threats.
Elon Musk also addressed personal attacks and incidents of Tesla dealerships being targeted with firebombs.
“Well, I think a great wrong is being done to the people of Tesla and to our customers. I mean, Tesla is a peaceful company that has made great cars, great products. That’s all it’s done,” Musk said.
“It hasn’t harmed anyone. And yet, people are committing violence. They are firebombing Tesla dealerships.
“They are shooting guns into stores. They are threatening people. They are issuing death threats against me and another Tesla personnel.
“What are they doing this for? Why? And what’s happening,” he further stated.
In response to the attacks, President Donald Trump warned that individuals caught sabotaging Tesla cars could face up to 20 years in jail.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi announced charges against three individuals involved in setting fire to Tesla properties in Las Vegas, describing the attacks as acts of “domestic terrorism.”
