Kanye West has released a new song that reportedly features Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and his daughter North, despite ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s attempts to block it.
The track, titled “Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine,” premiered on West’s X account over the weekend. It appears to showcase Combs, his son Christian ‘King’ Combs, and North.
In the song, Combs expresses gratitude towards West for his support while he is awaiting trial in jail. North also makes a brief but impactful appearance, rapping the lyrics, “When you see me shining, then you see the light,” as Christian delivers his own verse.
According to TMZ, Kardashian took legal action to stop the song from being released. She reportedly sent cease-and-desist letters to Kanye West, demanding that he not proceed with the release. An emergency hearing was said to have occurred, which West did not attend, where it was rumored that he agreed to hold off on dropping the track.
Shortly before releasing the track, Kanye West posted an alleged text conversation with Kim, hinting at a brewing conflict by telling fans, ‘We’re going to war.’
Kardashian is said to be particularly concerned about North’s involvement due to the ongoing legal troubles surrounding Combs, who is currently facing federal sex trafficking allegations.
