During a courtesy visit by the First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, to his residence in Akure, the Ondo State capital, the leader of the Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, praised President Bola Tinubu for his governance efforts, stating that the President has exceeded his expectations since taking office.
Fasoranti, a 98-year-old elder statesman, expressed satisfaction with the direction of the Tinubu administration and offered prayers for the President’s continued success, as stated in a press release by the First Lady’s media aide, Busola Kukoyi.
“I am satisfied with what he is doing in Nigeria. Well done,” Fasoranti said, applauding both the President and the First Lady for their commitment to national development.
The First Lady, who noted that the visit was informal, conveyed greetings from the President and described Pa Fasoranti as a father figure to both herself and President Tinubu.
The visit took place as part of the First Lady’s two-day official trip to Ondo State, where she launched a series of health and empowerment programmes under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).
Earlier in the day, Senator Tinubu held a meeting with over 60 traditional rulers in the state, led by the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, who represented the Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Obas.
