Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has finally addressed the rumors linking her to the anonymous Instagram blog, Gistlover.
In a podcast discussion with comedian AY Makun, Iyabo revealed that most of the information shared by popular Instagram bloggers like Gistlover is actually leaked by people close to the subjects.
Iyabo Ojo expressed her disbelief at the false gossip spread by the faceless blogger and questioned whether proper investigations were conducted before sharing the information.
“One thing I found out about Gistlover is that it’s the people close to you who take the information to Gistlover. Sometimes the information they take is wrong information. but they still take them. Some of the information are right, and some are wrong”.
Iyabo disclosed that many of her industry colleagues were the sources of the information shared by Gistlover and was taken aback when she was accused of being the mastermind behind the blog.
She adamantly denied any involvement and questioned why she would tarnish her own reputation and that of her daughters if she was indeed behind the blog.
“Some people came out to say I am gistlover. I was shocked. Iyabo Ojo is gistlover and I posted about my life on Gistlover, I dragged my daughter on gistlover. Is it for the money or the fame? The rubbish that was written about 3 some and stuff that gistlover posted and it went viral, for what reason will I want to drag my own daughter and myself? Destroy my name and reputation, why?” she questioned.
