Jennifer Lopez, who made a lasting impression as a host on the American Music Awards a decade ago, is set to take on the role once again at this year’s ceremony.
The announcement was made by Dick Clark Productions, confirming Jennifer Lopez as the host of the 2025 American Music Awards.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Lopez back to host the American Music Awards,” said Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions in an official statement. “Jennifer’s incredible talent and incomparable stage presence make her the ideal host of the show. We know she will bring her one-of-a-kind energy to the official kick-off celebration of summer.”
With a long history of involvement in the prestigious event, Lopez has not only hosted before in 2015 but has also performed at the AMAs more than 10 times during her successful singing career spanning 25 years.
In a historic move, the upcoming AMAs will be broadcast on CBS for the first time in its 51-year history, with the show moving to Las Vegas for its inaugural airing.
Scheduled to be aired live on May 26, the producers of the event are planning a special tribute to American troops and veterans on Memorial Day, promising authentic performances and memorable moments for viewers.
