Comedian and actor Seyi Law has declared he will never support Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, citing personal attacks from Obi’s supporters, popularly known as Obidients.
Speaking on the Teju Babyface Show, Seyi Law revealed that some Obidients maliciously targeted his wife and children during the 2023 elections, and that Obi’s failure to publicly caution his followers publicly has permanently eroded any support he could offer.
“Let Peter Obi wear the garment of Jesus Christ today — he will never get my support,” Seyi Law said. “As long as Peter Obi will not call them to order, and he keeps denying that they are doing that, he will never get my support.”
He also likened the Obidient movement to a cult, criticizing it for intolerant behavior and lack of room for dissenting opinions.
