Popular Nigerian skit maker Aloma Isaac, better known as Zicsaloma, has called out the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for what he describes as unprofessional and inhumane treatment of his critically ill mother battling cancer.
In an emotional Instagram video, the comedian revealed that his mother—who was rushed from the Island in a near-lifeless state—was denied access to the hospital’s facilities, even after completing diagnostic tests.
“She was locked outside the gate. A doctor refused to even look at her. My mom is a skeleton of herself and they showed no compassion,” he cried.
Zicsaloma alleged that security guards and hospital staff insisted on waiting for test results before granting entry, despite urgent warnings from other health professionals that she needed immediate medical attention.
The skit maker urged the Nigerian government to urgently investigate the matter and address the systemic rot in the country’s healthcare system.
As of press time, LUTH has not issued an official response to the allegations.
