Popular Nigerian skitmaker and content creator, Aloma Isaac Junior, widely known as Zicsaloma, has revealed that buying a luxury Range Rover Sport remains his biggest financial mistake.
Zicsaloma disclosed during an interview with Pulse, where he reflected on the challenges he faced after purchasing the high-end vehicle.
According to him, he bought the Range Rover Sport for over ₦30 million, expecting to enjoy luxury and comfort, but the excitement quickly faded.
The skitmaker explained that the car soon developed persistent mechanical issues, forcing him to spend heavily on repairs. He revealed that within three to four months, he spent approximately ₦10 million trying to fix the vehicle, yet the problems persisted.
As the situation became increasingly frustrating and financially draining, Zicsaloma said he had no choice but to sell the car at a significant loss.
“I think it’s buying a Range Rover Sport. That was one of my worst financial mistakes,” he said.
“When I bought that car, I bought it for over ₦30 million. I sold it for ₦11 million in three or four months’ time. And I spent about ₦10 million fixing the car in those three months.
“So it’s just like I threw ₦30 million and got back ₦1 million, with a lot of stress.”
His comments have since sparked online conversations, with many Nigerians sharing similar experiences about the high cost of maintaining luxury vehicles in the country and warning others to consider long-term maintenance costs before making such purchases.
