Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has turned down a plea deal in his explosive federal sex trafficking and racketeering case, opting to go to trial beginning May 5, 2025. The 55-year-old billionaire now faces the possibility of life imprisonment if convicted.
Appearing before U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, Diddy confirmed his decision to reject the government’s offer.
He stands accused of running a criminal enterprise involving coerced sexual encounters known as “freak-offs,” with charges including sex trafficking, prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy.
“Yes, your honor,” Diddy affirmed when asked about his decision.
The prosecution will present testimony from over 20 witnesses, including three main accusers. Jury selection begins May 5, with opening statements scheduled for May 12.
If found guilty, Diddy faces a minimum of 15 years for sex trafficking alone—with the potential for a life sentence.
