Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has publicly called out a movie editor, cursing him for allegedly sabotaging her self-funded film project.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress revealed that she single-handedly financed and produced a movie worth millions of naira, only to have her efforts ruined by an “unprofessional and wicked” editor.
Martins disclosed that she waited six weeks for the editor to deliver the final version of the film, but was shocked and heartbroken to receive what she described as a “bunch of crap.”
“I suffered and single-handedly produced this movie with no help from any man or woman,” she wrote. “My hard-earned money, my sweat, my sleepless nights—all wasted. I waited 6 weeks, and this is what I got in return?”
Despite her strong personality, the actress admitted that the experience has left her emotionally wounded.
“I’m a hard girl, but this pain is piercing my heart,” she added.
Martins’ emotional outburst has sparked conversations on the challenges faced by independent filmmakers in Nollywood, especially those producing on a personal budget without corporate or external backing.
