US, Ukraine finally sign minerals deal

The minerals deal between the United States and Ukraine has been officially signed.

After successful negotiations, America revealed an economic partnership with Ukraine.

As part of the agreement, Washington will now have access to Kyiv’s rare earth minerals.

A statement from the US Treasury Department noted that the two nations have agreed to form a “Reconstruction Investment Fund”.

They will collaborate to ensure that “mutual assets, talents, and capabilities” can accelerate Kyiv’s recovery.

The Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister, Yulia Svyrydenko, also confirmed the minerals deal and shared pictures of her visit to Washington DC.

One of the photos shows Svyrydenko with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and the teams from both countries who were involved in negotiating the deal.

“This document is capable of delivering success for both our countries – Ukraine and the United States,” she wrote with her post.

“God bless Ukraine and God bless the United States of America.”
