Social media is buzzing following new claims surrounding the 2020 passing of Victoria Fetuga, the mother of Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo.
Fetuga, who died in her sleep on November 21, 2020, at the age of 67, has been at the center of renewed controversy after investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo addressed widespread rumors about the circumstances of her death.
In a recent Facebook post, Olunloyo dismissed claims that Iyabo Ojo used her mother as a sacrificial offering to attain fame. Instead, she alleged that the actress’s mother passed away due to complications from paranoid schizophrenia and accused Ojo of mistreating her in her final days.
Her post reads: “Contrary to rumors that she sacrificed her mom for fame, Iyabo Ojo’s mother actually died of Paranoid Schizophrenia. She abused the 67 year old woman to the end.”
As of the time of this report, the actress has not issued a response to the allegations.
