Former Big Brother Naija housemate Bamike Olawunmi Adenibuyan, popularly known as Bambam, has subtly addressed the backlash she received regarding her choice of outfit for her daughter’s graduation ceremony.
Creebhills earlier reported that Bambam and Teddy A’s first child, Zendaya, graduated with honors and was crowned Overall Best Graduating Student at the prestigious Abraham Lincoln American Academy.
Sharing moments from the event on Instagram, Bambam expressed her pride, writing that this is “what dreams look like in uniform” and celebrated her daughter’s achievements.
However, while many followers congratulated her, some online critics – the so-called “fashion police” – took issue with her outfit, which revealed her cleavage. Several commenters felt the look was inappropriate for a school function.
In what appeared to be an unbothered response, Bambam shared even more photos of the outfit on her page. But the criticism continued:
-
@akinola_yemisi wrote: “The style is beautiful, dear, but it is inappropriate for a school event.”
-
@mariez_official commented: “Beautiful but wrong occasion.”
-
@ekatabrown added: “I love Bambam; however, wearing this outfit to a school event with children was a mistake.”
Despite the mixed reactions, Bambam seemed unfazed, focusing on celebrating her daughter’s milestone rather than addressing the backlash directly.
