Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju has voiced deep concern over VeryDarkMan’s (VDM) recent visit to Benue State, particularly to areas affected by the deadly massacre that claimed over 200 lives and left massive property destruction in its wake.
Adeyanju revealed that he was extremely worried for VDM’s safety, stating:
“I couldn’t rest until he was back safe. Nigerians don’t really care about you. If anything happens, they will move on the next minute and say they didn’t ask you to die for them.”
VDM had earlier drawn national attention after condemning the killings in Benue State, accusing both President Bola Tinubu’s administration and the Benue State government of failing to act decisively.
He described the silence and inaction of authorities as a “national disgrace”, expressing frustration over the lack of protection for citizens.
His bold stance sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many applauding his bravery and others cautioning him about the risks of activism in volatile regions.
