Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and media mogul, Dele Momodu, has categorically ruled out the possibility of joining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) despite the ongoing crisis within the main opposition party.
Speaking during an interview on Channels TV on Wednesday, Momodu dismissed any suggestion that he could decamp to the APC, accusing the party’s leadership of fostering autocracy.
“I definitely won’t join the APC. That one is out of the question. If I wanted to join the APC, I wouldn’t be talking to you the way I am this morning,” he said.
He further stated:
“I cannot sit in a room where one man will dictate to able-bodied adults who have worked all their lives and say that he is the lord of the manor.”
The former presidential aspirant also emphasized that only a coalition of political parties could successfully challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Momodu, however, admitted that while his physical presence remains in the PDP, his “soul has already left” the party due to dissatisfaction with its internal affairs.
