Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has alleged that the ongoing insecurity crisis in Benue State is orchestrated by individuals within both the state and federal governments.
In a statement released on Sunday through his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Ayodele claimed that those behind the unrest are shockingly close to the corridors of power.
“People causing insecurity in Benue are in the government system, both state and federal. Their names will shock the nation. The crisis is man-made and deliberate,” he asserted.
The cleric warned President Bola Tinubu that political opponents within his administration are using insecurity as a tool to destabilize his government.
Ayodele advised Tinubu not to be swayed by sycophants and urged him to tackle security challenges head-on or risk severe political consequences.
“They are singing ‘Hosanna’ now, but if you ignore this, you’ll pay greatly for it,” Ayodele added.
The prophet’s statement comes amid rising concerns over violence and killings in Benue and other parts of Nigeria.
