Kanye West appears to have changed his legal name once more, just a few years after adopting the name “Ye.” The rapper, who first made the switch official in 2021 through a court filing in Los Angeles, is now listed under a new moniker: Ye Ye.
According to legal documents filed by his chief financial officer with the State of California, the name Ye Ye appears in updated business records, as reported by The US Sun. This latest name change differs from earlier filings where he was identified as Ye West.
The updated name was discovered in a Statement of Information submitted to California’s Secretary of State, a document that provides current information about a business’s structure, officers, and other key details.
Ye Ye is now being used across several of Kanye West’s business entities. Ox Paha Inc, a company that has registered numerous trademarks for him, refers to him by the new name in official filings. Other ventures like Yeezy Apparel, his fashion line, as well as music-related businesses such as Yeezy Record Label LLC and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc, have also adopted the updated identity in their paperwork.
As of now, Kanye West has not made any public announcement regarding the name change on social media platforms.
Meanwhile, West’s wife, Bianca Censori, may be preparing to launch a business of her own. She registered Bianca Censori Inc in California last month, hinting at potential entrepreneurial plans.
