Nigeria international Victor Boniface may be on the move this summer, with Bayer Leverkusen reportedly open to offers for the striker, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 24-year-old, who joined the Bundesliga champions from Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023, saw a proposed move to Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr collapse during the January transfer window. However, fresh interest has since emerged, with several clubs in the English Premier League and Turkish Super Lig now monitoring his situation.
“Victor Boniface and Bayer Leverkusen could part ways this summer with a good proposal for both sides,” Romano posted via X (formerly Twitter). “After the move to Saudi collapsed in January, new options are available on the market and Boniface could leave the club.”
Boniface featured in 19 matches during the 2024/25 season, scoring eight goals and providing one assist for Xabi Alonso’s side. Despite a season affected by injury and competition for places, the forward remains a highly rated asset.
Bayer Leverkusen, who enjoyed a historic unbeaten domestic campaign last season, are reportedly ready to consider offers that would benefit both the club and the player.
As the summer transfer window progresses, Boniface’s future is expected to be one of the key stories involving Nigerian players abroad.
