Oprah Winfrey and Bishop T.D. Jakes Shut Down Diddy Party Rumors

Oprah Winfrey and Bishop T.D. Jakes have stepped forward to clear the air about recent online rumors linking them to music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing a federal trial. The pair addressed the issue during a panel at the Good Soil Forum in Dallas, warning about the increasing threat posed by artificial intelligence and misinformation.

At the event, Oprah specifically tackled the viral AI-generated images that falsely showed her alongside Diddy. According to FOX DC, the media mogul said she had taken steps to have the images removed, though the effort proved unsuccessful.

“First of all, I’ve never been near a Puff party! Never been near one,” Oprah emphasized, drawing applause from the audience. “And anyone who knows me knows if there is a party, I’m the first one out. That is not who I am. I like to sit at home with my thoughts by the fire, with the dogs.”

Bishop T.D. Jakes also addressed the speculation. He confirmed he had once visited Diddy’s residence, but only briefly and in the daytime.

“I was there 30 minutes, said ‘Happy Birthday,’ and bounced!” the bishop explained.

Jakes went on to criticize the spread of baseless rumors and the public’s growing obsession with celebrities’ personal lives.

“People love salacious stories, you can tell them stories about you feeding those girls in South Africa… they don’t want to hear about that at all,” he said. “If you tell them about Puffy’s biceps, they want to follow you all the way around the world and I think it’s because we’ve become so engrossed in other people’s lives to keep from having our own.”

Their comments come just as reports indicate prosecutors may soon rest their case in Diddy’s ongoing trial. In the age of AI deepfakes and viral misinformation, both Oprah and Bishop Jakes urged the public to prioritize truth over gossip—and to reclaim control over their own narratives.
