Amid escalating conflict with Israel, United States President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran, urging the country to choose peace or prepare for even greater consequences in the near future.
The warning came during Trump’s world address following U.S. military strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan—which took place overnight.
Trump emphasized that while the strikes were a response to ongoing aggression, any future operations against Iran would be “far greater and a lot easier” if the country refuses to back down.
“Iran the bully of the Middle East must now make peace and if they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier,” Trump declared.
Reflecting on decades of hostilities, Trump said,:
“For 40 years, Iran has been saying death to America and Israel, they have been killing our people, blowing off their arms and legs with their road side bombs. We lost over a thousand people and hundreds of thousands around the Middle East have died as a result of their hate.”
Reaffirming his long-standing stance, Trump added:
“I decided a long time ago that I will not let this happen and continue, I want to congratulate PM Netanyahu, we worked as a team, perhaps no team has ever worked before and we have gone a long way in erasing this threat to Israel.”
He concluded with a clear ultimatum:
“There will be either peace or tragedy for Iran, greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days.”
Tensions remain high in the region, with global observers closely monitoring for Iran’s next move.
