Pusha T is firing shots once again, this time not in a verse, but in a bold new interview. As the Clipse duo readies their highly anticipated reunion album Let God Sort Em Out, King Push has reignited his long-running feud with Drake, this time weighing in on the rapper’s legal clash with Universal Music Group (UMG).
In a fiery GQ profile, Pusha didn’t mince words about Drake’s lawsuit, which centers around allegations that UMG gave an unfair streaming advantage to Kendrick Lamar’s viral diss track “Not Like Us.”
While Drake accuses the label of crossing ethical boundaries during the height of his lyrical battle with Lamar, Pusha sees the legal action as a weak move in a genre built on lyrical warfare.
“I don’t rate him no more,” Pusha said. “The suing thing is bigger than some rap sh*t. I just don’t rate you. Damn, it’s like it kind of cheapens the art of it once we gotta have real questions about suing, litigation. Like, what? For this?”
As fans debate what’s fair game in a diss war, Pusha T is keeping his eyes on what truly matters: the music.
His upcoming album, Let God Sort Em Out, is set to drop on July 11, marking the first Clipse project in over a decade. The album boasts heavyweight features, including Kendrick Lamar, Nas, and John Legend, as well as production from Pharrell Williams.
