Tory Lanez Slams Popular Media Platform For Interviewing Man Who Stabbed Him

Tory Lanez and his team have spent much of this year trying to reshape the public narrative surrounding his imprisonment. While most of the attention remains focused on the high-profile Megan Thee Stallion case and claims of his innocence, another shocking incident has added a new layer of controversy: the stabbing of Tory Lanez in prison last month.

According to a report by AllHipHop, the Brampton-born rapper’s spokesperson, Diana London, expressed strong disapproval over how the incident was portrayed in the media. Her criticisms were specifically aimed at TMZ, who aired an interview with the alleged attacker, Santino Casio.

“TMZ, of all people, give this disgusting, vile human being a platform to spew those lies when this man [Tory], at that point, [was] in a bed in the hospital fighting for his life,” London reportedly stated. “And we have to defend, instead of talking about the well-being of this man who’s innocent already and who is a victim of many people in the system who railroaded this guy.”

Casio, the alleged stabber, claimed he acted in self-defense, alleging that Lanez had put a bounty on him and threatened him with a weapon during what was previously a friendly relationship. Casio further alleged that Lanez also stabbed him in the leg during the confrontation.

“Why in the hell would Tory want to kill someone when he literally could be pardoned or get out of prison?” Tory Lanez’s representative reportedly questioned. “He has everything to lose at this point.”

Meanwhile, Lanez continues to maintain his innocence in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case, even though he was convicted. His team insists the fight is far from over, though it currently seems to be playing out more in the media than through new legal action.

“Tory voluntarily gave his DNA,” Diana London reportedly said of the case. “Because they were like, ‘Would you come in and do a swab?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, absolutely.’ Because he knew that his fingerprints weren’t on that gun. It wasn’t his gun.” We will see how that whole situation concludes…

Following the stabbing, Tory Lanez was moved to a different prison facility. As of now, there are no updates on his appeal, and his earliest possible parole remains set for 2029, with a projected release date around 2033.
