Rising Amapiano singer Zee Nxumalo has broken her silence following criticism on social media over claims that she disrespected veteran entertainer Thembi Seete during a recent campaign shoot.
The controversy began after a behind-the-scenes video surfaced online showing Zee appearing to ignore or dismiss Thembi during what was believed to be a collaborative moment. The clip quickly went viral, sparking widespread backlash as many accused the 22-year-old of being “cold” and “dismissive” toward one of South Africa’s most respected entertainers.
Reacting to the uproar, Zee Nxumalo took to her Instagram Stories with a now-deleted post, explaining that the viral moment was taken out of context. She later posted a selfie on Twitter with the caption:
“Trust me it’s way out of context.”
Despite the explanation, opinions remain divided on social media, with some fans defending the young star and others insisting she should have shown more courtesy during the shoot.
