Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has fired back at fellow artist Blaqbonez, urging him to stop calling himself the best rapper in the country.
The statement comes amid an intensifying rap beef between the two artists, which recently spilled over into a heated social media exchange after Blaqbonez dissed Odumodublvck in “Who’s Really Rapping”, a track off his collaboration with A-Q.
Speaking during an interview on Jusmen 105.7, Odumodublvck didn’t hold back, calling Blaqbonez’s claims “disrespectful” to Nigerian hip-hop heavyweights.
“Do you know what it is for you to say you are the best rapper in Nigeria? Stop joking. You are not the best rapper. M.I is the best rapper, Vector is the best rapper. If you were the best rapper, you would have won the Best Rap Album of the Year [at the Headies]. You were not even nominated for Best Rap Single.”
He further emphasized that true greatness comes with legacy and industry recognition.
“I’m not better than Phyno as a rapper. Look at his legacy. Olamide, Vector, M.I, Modenine, Ghost, Tec… So for me to come and say I’m the best rapper, that means I have to be the best rapper.”
Odumodublvck warned Blaqbonez to stop misleading fans and letting insecurity cloud his image:
“Stop lying to the kids that you are the best. Nobody is even booking you for shows… You’re an amazing artist. But don’t come and use your insecurities to close the door.”
The clash has stirred major reactions among fans and revived discussions on who truly deserves the crown in Nigerian hip-hop.
