Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has disclosed the reason behind his trademark face mask while playing football.
In a recent chat with media personality Daddy Freeze, Osimhen explained that the mask protects an iron plate inserted into his face following jaw surgery.
“The doctor came and said we have to do surgery, and I have to do it as quickly as possible.
I have iron in my face,” he revealed, adding that a fragment was removed during the procedure.
Osimhen’s mask has since become an iconic part of his on-pitch appearance.
