A$AP Rocky has seemingly confirmed that he and Rihanna are expecting a baby girl, as the couple awaits the arrival of their third child.
The rapper made the revelation during the premiere of the Smurfs movie in Belgium on Saturday. When asked by a reporter, “Is that the girl you’ve been waiting for?” A$AP Rocky responded, “It is, man. It is,” while holding up a Smurfette doll. He added, “Right here. You know what I’m saying? Right here,” seemingly hinting at the baby’s gender.
A$AP Rocky, 36, and Rihanna, 37, are already parents to two sons: RZA, aged three, and Riot, who is two. Their firstborn, RZA, was named after their favourite Wu-Tang Clan member, GZA, with the rapper once explaining;
“We named him RZA after our favourite Wu-Tang member GZA, but changed the G to an R to go with Rihanna/Rocky.”
While this is the first time A$AP Rocky has hinted at the baby’s gender, Rihanna previously said the couple wasn’t concerned either way. “If it’s another boy, it’s another boy,” she shared last year.
The speculation about their growing family intensified after Rihanna debuted her baby bump at the Met Gala and was seen on video appearing to say, “I brought the kids,” which some interpreted as a hint she might be expecting twins.
Adding to the excitement, Rihanna produced the Smurfs film and lends her voice to the beloved character Smurfette—making her recent appearance at the premiere even more special for the family.
