Popular activist Verydarkman has addressed critics who claim he’s being financially supported by DMW singer Davido, firmly stating that he has never collected a dime from the music star.
In a post shared via his Instagram page, Verydarkman dismissed the widespread belief that Davido has been bankrolling him.
He clarified that many of the things people attribute to Davido’s generosity were actually self-funded. He specifically pointed out that he paid for his own flight to Lagos and covered his hotel expenses, despite public assumptions that Davido had handled the costs.
Verydarkman also emphasized that neither Davido nor his associates have ever given him any money.
He said in part:
“Anytime I talk about Davido people go say after all Davido has done for you. Davido flew you to Lagos. Davido has contributed to your NGO. The time I go to Lagos to go see Davido, na me pay my flight ticket. The hotel wey dey say Davido lodge me, na me pay for the hotel. But for entertainment purpose, we just leave am like that….”
