Following Sean “Diddy” Combs’ conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard—who has a pending civil lawsuit against the music mogul—has expressed her dissatisfaction with the outcome.
In a statement shared by her attorney, Lisa Bloom, Richard called the verdict a “disappointment,” while making it clear that the criminal case is separate from her ongoing legal battle.
“We will continue to aggressively fight our case until we obtain full and complete justice for Dawn,” Bloom stated.
Richard’s civil lawsuit, filed in September 2024, accuses Diddy of physical and psychological abuse, including sleep and food deprivation during her time filming Making the Band. During the recent trial, Richard delivered emotional testimony, claiming she witnessed Diddy assault Cassie Ventura, citing a disturbing incident where he allegedly struck her with a skillet full of eggs.
While Diddy was found not guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking, the verdict does little to end his mounting legal troubles. Richard’s civil case—and others—are still moving through the courts.
