Nigerian highlife sensation, Flavour N’abania, has responded to a fan who controversially suggested that the singer should go broke again to produce better music.
The exchange began when an X user, Udeh of Enugu, praised Flavour’s earlier work, suggesting financial pressure inspired his best songs.
“Prime Flavour, no one comes close. Your rent was due man,” the fan wrote.
Flavour, known on X as Flavour of Africa, responded humorously:
“Nna na win or win that year o.”
However, the conversation took a sharp turn when Udeh added:
“I wish you can go broke again so you can give us those classics.”
Flavour responded with a simple but pointed remark:
“Una dey talk for this social media o.”
The comment sparked debate online, with many users calling out the entitlement of fans who tie an artist’s creativity to personal hardship.
