GloRilla Turns Arrest into Profit with Mugshot Merch After Home Invasion Drama

Like several artists before her — including Travis Scott — rapper GloRilla is flipping a recent legal issue into a business move. The Memphis star was arrested in Georgia on two felony drug charges: possession of a scheduled controlled substance and marijuana over one ounce. However, the arrest came under controversial circumstances.

The drugs were reportedly discovered in her closet while she was away in Indianapolis performing at the WNBA All-Star Game. Police were initially responding to a home invasion at her residence — one she wasn’t even present for.

GloRilla expressed her frustration on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), slamming the police for focusing on the marijuana rather than the intruders:

“CRAZY!! My house got home invaded Saturday while I was in Indianapolis… & instead of focusing on finding the suspects, they focus on some cannabis.”

She clarified in follow-up posts:

“1. No, I wasn’t busted. 2. My house got robbed. 3. I wasn’t home. Long story short, my house gets home invaded, and I’m the only one arrested. So that’s tea.”

Her legal team echoed her outrage, criticizing the police’s misplaced priorities. They described the situation as an invasion by criminals who likely knew she wasn’t home — but were unaware her family members were present and traumatized during the robbery. The intruders reportedly stole high-value jewelry and fled once they realized the house was occupied.

Despite the arrest, GloRilla wasted no time getting back on stage after posting a $22,000 bond. She made a dramatic return at her first annual Glo Bash at the FedExForum, entering through the bleachers in a style reminiscent of Drake.

In a bold move, GloRilla also launched $40 merch featuring her mugshot, capitalizing on the headlines. This mirrors Travis Scott’s marketing strategy last year when he sold mugshot tees following his arrest in Miami.
