Mbappe Withdraws Harassment Complaint Against PSG, Still Pursuing €55 Million Claim
Blog Post:
Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe has withdrawn his complaints against former club Paris Saint-Germain over alleged harassment and attempted extortion.
According to French outlet L’Equipe, although the French forward has dropped the harassment charges, he is still actively pursuing a claim of €55 million from PSG.
The legal dispute stemmed from Mbappe’s claim that PSG attempted to coerce him into signing a new contract in 2023. He alleged the club banned him from training with the main squad as part of this pressure campaign.
A judicial investigation had been initiated after Mbappe filed a formal complaint on May 16. The case focused on PSG’s treatment of the player during the summer of 2023, when the then 26-year-old was sidelined from the first team. Two magistrates were appointed to oversee the matter, and an official investigation was launched just a few days ago.
He eventually departed PSG as a free agent and completed a high-profile move to Real Madrid. Since joining the Spanish giants, the former AS Monaco prodigy has made an impressive start to life at the Santiago Bernabéu.
