“Na Dem Sabi” – Charly Boy Reacts as Lagos Renames Bus Stop After Olamide

Veteran entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has responded to the Lagos State Government’s decision to rename the Charly Boy Bus Stop in Bariga after indigenous rapper Olamide Adedeji, also known as Baddo.

In a brief reaction shared with DAILY POST on Saturday, Charly Boy said: “Na dem sabi” — a colloquial expression suggesting indifference or resignation.

The renaming was part of a broader initiative announced by Bariga LCDA Chairman, Hon. Kolade David Alabi, during the commissioning of various infrastructure projects on Friday. The outgoing chairman revealed the renaming of several roads and landmarks as part of his final official duties.

Other newly renamed locations include:

  • Ajidagan Street to Olamide Adedeji Baddo Street
  • Ilaje Road to Sunny Ade Road
  • Ifeanyi Street to 9ice Street
  • Community Road, Akoka to Babajide Sanwo-Olu Road
  • Bariga Road to Bola Ahmed Tinubu Road
  • Ayodele Street to Tony Tetuila Street.
