“Napoli wants to sell me to Al Hilal – Osimhen begs Galatasaray to sign him

Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has once again turned down a highly lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal, despite the eye-watering €160 million proposal.

According to reports, Osimhen remains focused on his European football ambitions and has made it clear that he wants to continue his career at Galatasaray, where he spent last season on loan. The striker is prioritizing UEFA Champions League football over a big-money move to the Middle East.

Osimhen has reportedly spoken directly with Galatasaray officials, expressing a strong desire to make his stay at the Turkish champions permanent.

“I want to continue at Galatasaray,” Osimhen told the club’s officials, according to Milliyet, via Habersarikirmizi.
“Get my transfer fee from Napoli. They want to sell me to Saudi Arabia. They have plans to sell me for €100 million.”

In response to his appeal, Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek and Sportif AŞ vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu held an urgent meeting at Rams Park to strategize on securing the player’s transfer.

However, Napoli—who currently hold the striker’s rights—are proving to be a tough negotiator. The Italian club has rejected Galatasaray’s offers of €50 million, €60 million, and most recently, €65 million, insisting on a minimum fee of £75 million.

In a bid to meet Osimhen’s €100 million valuation, Galatasaray is reportedly negotiating a structured deal that would allow them to pay the transfer fee in €25 million installments over three years.

Osimhen’s stance sends a clear message: for him, legacy and top-level competition outweigh financial gain, and he’s willing to fight for the chance to compete in Europe’s most elite football tournaments.
