Mohbad’s Friend Primeboy Accuses Late Singer’s Father of Misusing Donations and Delaying Burial

Primeboy

Primeboy, Nigerian singer and close associate of the late Mohbad, has accused the late artist’s father, Joseph Aloba, of exploiting his son’s death and failing to ensure a proper burial, nearly 10 months after the singer’s passing.

In a viral TikTok Live session, Primeboy expressed frustration over the ongoing feud surrounding Mohbad’s remains, which, according to him, are still in the morgue.

“You didn’t buy a good coffin for Mohbad. He is still lying cold in the morgue. The dad is busy going to different movie locations enjoying himself,” Primeboy claimed.

“If you already know what killed your son, tell us so we can stop stressing ourselves. This is wickedness.”

Accusations of Fund Mismanagement

Primeboy also questioned the transparency surrounding funds raised through public donations and GoFundMe campaigns set up after Mohbad’s death.

“You have opened a lot of GoFundMe for public donations. One million dollars has gone down,” he alleged.

However, Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, has previously denied these accusations. In May 2024, he stated during a media appearance that he had spent N16 million on a private autopsy and N2 million on other related expenses, claiming the total donation received was less than N18 million.

Background: Mohbad’s Death and Ongoing Investigation

Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Aloba, died under controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27. His death triggered public outrage, national protests, and a full investigation.

Primeboy himself was once declared wanted in relation to the case, but was cleared of all charges by the Lagos High Court in July 2025.

Public Reaction and Calls for Closure

As the drama surrounding the late singer’s death continues, fans have taken to social media to demand:

  • A proper burial for Mohbad

  • Accountability from his family and associates

  • Transparency over the use of donated funds

With Mohbad’s body reportedly still unburied, the public continues to seek answers and closure as bitter disputes among his loved ones grow deeper.
