The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Prof. Nentawe Yiltwada, the current Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, as the new National Chairman of the ruling party.
Yiltwada’s appointment follows the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje on June 27, 2025.
The nomination was made by Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, who serves as the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF). It was seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Tajudeen Abbas.
The decision was reached during the party’s ongoing NEC meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Prof. Yiltwada is expected to steer the affairs of the party ahead of upcoming political activities and elections.
