Veteran Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has addressed the intense online backlash surrounding her characterNosa, in the trending Netflix crime thriller series, To Kill a Monkey.

Following the show’s release on July 18, fans have taken to social media platforms to criticize Nosa’s role in her husband Efemini’s tragic downfall.

Many viewers branded the character as sanctimonious, accusing her of betraying Efe emotionally despite reaping the benefits of his criminal empire.

“Nosa acted all high and mighty, but she was there enjoying the luxury Efe’s crimes paid for,” one viewer posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Others blamed her lack of emotional support as the tipping point that led Efe down his dark path, only for her to abandon him at his lowest.
