Renowned Kenyan singer Victoria Kimani has opened up about her experience with dating in her home country, revealing that she has never been romantically approached by Kenyan men.
Speaking during a recent episode of The Box Pod, the former Chocolate City signee explained that while she has received attention from foreigners within Kenya, local men seem hesitant to make a move.
“I don’t get approached in Kenya. Nobody approaches me, unless they are not from here,” Victoria Kimani said.
She attributed this to a possible lack of confidence or fear of rejection, suggesting that some men might assume her celebrity status makes her unapproachable.
“It’s like a lack of confidence or they just assume that I’m going to turn them down or they just don’t know how [to approach me]. It’s like they lack game,” she added.
Victoria Kimani offered advice to men who may be interested in women like her, noting that confidence, good hygiene, and proper communication go a long way. She also pointed out that inappropriate language or crude pickup lines are often the reason men face rejection.
Over the years, Victoria Kimani has kept her personal life out of the spotlight, though rumors have previously linked her to Nigerian rapper Ice Prince Zamani and Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz. Neither relationship was publicly confirmed.
