“I Don’t Even Know His Name” — Wike Mocks Dele Momodu During Media Chat

Wike-Momodu

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has stirred controversy again — this time by throwing shade at veteran journalist and publisher Dele Momodu.

Speaking during a live media chat on Thursday with selected press representatives, Wike bluntly dismissed Momodu, referring to him as a “boy” and claiming not to remember his name.

“There is this boy, they say he is a journalist. What’s his name? He is big,” Wike said dismissively.

When a journalist interjected with “Dele Momodu,” the former Rivers State governor responded, “Okay, I don’t remember all these names. He was never my friend. He ran for president, but he didn’t get one vote.”

His comments appear to be a direct response to recent criticism from Momodu, who alleged that the minister could not defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) without losing his political influence. The Ovation International publisher has long been vocal about Wike’s political maneuvers.

This latest exchange is sure to heat up the political and media space, as observers continue to weigh in on the feud between the two outspoken figures.
