Nigerian superstars Wizkid and Tems have made Africa proud once again, becoming the only African artists featured on Apple Music’s prestigious list of the Top 500 Most Streamed Songs of All Time.
The list, released as part of Apple Music’s 10th anniversary celebrations, highlights the most-played tracks globally since the platform’s launch — and the two Afrobeats icons secured notable placements through high-profile collaborations.
Wizkid Lands in the Top 10 Globally
Wizkid’s global breakthrough came with the 2016 chart-topping single “One Dance” by Drake, featuring Wizkid and Kyla. The smash hit sits impressively at Number 6 on the list, making Wizkid the only African artist to appear in the top 10.
Tems Scores Big with Future Collaboration
Tems also earned a spot on the list thanks to her contribution to Future’s Grammy-winning track “Wait For U”, which features both her and Drake. The song ranks at Number 42, marking another significant milestone in her steadily rising global career.
