Beyoncé has officially joined the ranks of Primetime Emmy winners. The Television Academy announced on Tuesday that the superstar took home the award for Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming for her Netflix special Beyoncé Bowl.
The performance, which served as the halftime show during NFL Christmas Gameday in Houston, Texas, earned her the honor in a juried category. In such categories, entrants are reviewed by panels of professionals with open discussions and no formal list of nominees.
The award will be presented during the 77th Creative Arts Emmy Awards at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on September 6 and 7, with a televised recap airing the following weekend.
Beyoncé is also up for two additional Emmys for Beyoncé Bowl: Outstanding Variety Special, Live (as performer and executive producer) and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, alongside Alex Rudzinski.
With a record-breaking 35 Grammy wins already to her name, this Emmy win brings she is halfway to achieving the coveted EGOT status — winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. She previously earned an Oscar nomination in 2022 for co-writing “Be Alive” from King Richard.
