Calvin Harris Shuts Down Feud Rumours With Miley Cyrus

Calvin Harris

Calvin Harris has clarified that there is no bad blood between him and Miley Cyrus, after fans speculated about tension when her vocals were missing from his upcoming track.

The DJ recently teased a new snippet of his song Ocean on TikTok, this time featuring Jessie Reyez, who co-wrote the track. Fans were quick to notice that an earlier preview included Miley’s voice, sparking questions.

One fan asked: “What happened to the one with Miley????”

Calvin Harris responded: “Tell her. I do not know.” When another pressed him about whether Miley’s version would ever be released, he admitted: “I’m afraid not.”

He went on to explain that it was simply a mistake on his part: “Nah it was my bad… crossed wires.”

Putting feud rumours to rest, Calvin Harris added: “I love Miley.”

The 41-year-old star has been busy musically this year, having released Smoke The Pain Away — his first solo track featuring only his own vocals since 2018 — as well as his 2024 collaboration Free with Ellie Goulding.

Meanwhile, Miley is gearing up to celebrate a milestone. The pop icon, who rose to fame as Hannah Montana on Disney Channel, has revealed plans for “something really special” to mark the show’s 20th anniversary next year.

Reflecting on the role that launched her career, Miley told SiriusXM’s TikTok Radio:

“I want to design something really, really special for it because it really was the beginning of all of this that now sits here today. Without Hannah, there really wouldn’t be this me.”

She added that while Hannah Montana once felt like a character she might never escape, it has since become a nostalgic part of fans’ childhoods and an integral part of her identity.
