Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has stated that she would nominate ex-President Donald Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize if he successfully ends the Russia-Ukraine war without Ukraine surrendering any of its territory to Russia.
Speaking on the Raging Moderates podcast, Clinton emphasized that achieving such a resolution would demand “significant diplomatic skill and strength,” given that Trump would be negotiating with “an adversary who wants to see the destruction of the United States and the Western alliance.”
She explained that for peace talks to be credible, Russia would need to agree to a ceasefire, avoid territorial gains, and eventually withdraw from seized regions to demonstrate good faith.
Clinton added, “If President Trump were the architect of that, I’d nominate him for a Nobel Peace Prize.”
Reacting to her comments, Trump told Fox News: “Well, that was very nice. I may have to start liking her again.”
