Justice for Mohbad: Iyabo Ojo Calls on Wizkid, Tiwa Savage to Speak Up for Young Artists

44-year-old Tiwa Savage Breaks the Internet wearing a Tong and mini Skirt with no Bra

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has made an emotional appeal to Nigerian music superstars Wizkid and Tiwa Savage, urging them to lend their voices to the ongoing call for justice for the late singer Mohbad.

During a recent Instagram live session, the outspoken actress emphasized that Mohbad, like many emerging artists, looked up to top Nigerian musicians for inspiration and guidance.

“Wizkid and Tiwa Savage, I need you,” Ojo said. “These young boys come from the slums and ghettos just like most of you did, and they were inspired by you to become artists. They have so much talent.”

She stressed that it was unfair for senior artists to remain silent while rising stars, who idolize them, face oppression, exploitation, and in some cases, tragic outcomes.

“We Must Protect Our Young Talents”

Ojo warned that the Nigerian music industry cannot afford to repeat the past, referring to how iconic legends like Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, and 2Baba (2Face Idibia) were allegedly mistreated by record labels and authorities during their careers.

“We cannot allow what Fela, King Sunny Ade, and 2Baba went through to happen to this new generation of artists,” she stated.
“Their music is what’s giving us joy. Nigeria is blessed with talents, and we must not let cults or oppressive forces pull them down.”

She added that young artists are not just entertainers, but cultural ambassadors putting Nigeria on the global map.
